FAQs

What is your lead time and shipping cost?

Our manufacturers lead-times have been varying due to increased demand. Please allow approximately 9 to 13 weeks for delivery after placing the order.

You will be notified of a more precise date after the order has been processed by the manufacturer.  Mtn Kitchens will make every effort to ensure completion of your order to be consistent with your needs.  We can schedule installation when after your order is placed. We do not charge for shipping from the factory.

What is the process after deciding I want new cabinets from Mtn Kitchens?

Please see our page about getting started here, it includes our process as well as some popular design ideas.

Can I cancel or change my order after it is placed?

All products that we supply are made to order or tailored especially for your project.  They may not be canceled or returned once the products are in production or have been received by Mtn Kitchens. Changes to the order may result in an additional charge via a written change order.

Can you ship to my job site?

Mtn. Kitchens provides delivery of your cabinetry order directly to the job site as a service and convenience to you.  An installer will unload and verify that your order is complete as well as place your order in your garage or other designated room by request.  The area must be a cleared interior location, which will be easily accessible at the time of delivery and during the installation process. If you prefer to do the installation yourself, we will charge a delivery and unloading fee.  If we are required to warehouse cabinets for longer than one (1) month storage charges will apply.

Is hardware included in my quote?

We will help you to choose and order hardware, but it is not included unless specified. We charge $7 per pull for installation.

We are a dealer for Hardware Resources, check out their website to view popular designs!

Do you do countertops?

We have samples of engineered quartz in our showroom and will facilitate getting you a quote through our partner company in Denver, Granite and Marble Designs. We will also work with them to coordinate templating, and installation of countertops and cabinetry together.

We are also authorized dealers for Grothouse Wood Countertops, you can view more information on our website, or come to our showroom to learn more!

What is the difference between framed and frameless cabinetry?

Framed cabinetry has a frame around the opening of the cabinet box, with the doors and drawers overlapping on the frame an inch or more.

Frameless cabinetry, also called “full-access cabinets”, do not have a face frame and offer more room when the doors and drawers are open. Framed cabinets with a full overlay and Frameless cabinetry look very similar when the doors are closed, but have a different look when cabinets are opened.

What is the difference between Traditional and International+ overlay ?

Door styles are offered in two overlays: Traditional and International+, also called Transitional style.

The "overlay" refers to the amount of cabinet face frame that is covered by the doors and drawer headers. International+ overlay doors and drawer fronts are larger, covering more of the frame. The result is a more contemporary, “European” look. Traditional overlay doors and drawer fronts are smaller, revealing more of the frame. This look is in keeping with American cabinetry traditions.

Certain door styles are also available in Inset, which means that rather than being on top of the frame, the doors and drawers are on the same level as the frame.

Do you offer under-cabinet lighting?

Yes, we typically use Tresco flextape LED undercabinet lighting. We found Tresco to be the most affordable and dependable solution. These systems are dimmable and can be installed out of sight below your upper cabinets for increased countertop lighting, under lower cabinets for night lighting or above upper crown molding to brighten up your kitchen.

How do I get setup for contractor or designer services?

Special Contractor Services are available for qualified Contractors and Designers in the area. We require Certificate of Liability Coverage, and a copy of your Contractors License and Application. We will help to coordinate getting drywall and other aspects of your project finished, but we are not strictly project managers.

I can’t say enough about Mtn. Kitchens & Cabinetry. They do EXCELLENT work and are very conscientious about their customers’ needs. From my first meeting to the very end of the project I had a great experience. I highly recommend them for refacing cabinets and detailing new designs for a Kitchen.
